Without Distraction Mind

If an absence of thinking - not allowing attention and awareness to be distracted by thoughts that come and go on their own - results in peace, calm, and the cessation of disturbance, turmoil, anxiety, and agitation... that tells you as YOU everything you need to know.

In my experience, the practice of equanimity is the key that unlocks this particular door to traveling lighter and more joyful. However, even if one falls short of that, attending enough Al-Anon meetings and truly following their practices could yield similar effects... which is also my experience.
